VAJIFDAR's
Fashion never stops, neither the climate change.
Fashion is you and I, so does the climate change.
In the midst of adjusting my body back to Australia Eastern Standard Time or AEST, an interesting text hit my instagram's inbox.
A lady named Sonya Vajifdar was introducing me to her collection.
I literally had no idea about this person nor I have heard about her. She happened to be visiting Sydney for a week and hooked me up with her new collection, a collection dedicated to the earth; supporting fashion sustainability. I am sold.
Fashion sustainability refreshed my mind. This industry has been filled with quite a lot of fast fashion (not Maccas!), and little did you know that fashion ranks second in pollution after oil industry. Lately, bigger brands such as H&M and Zara are trying to recycle your old jeans. I personally support fashion sustainability because how brilliant the uses could be.
That's why I agreed straight away to Sonya's offer. I never get a chance to meet her in person, because all we did is dropped off and dropped in the clothes. But I need to thank her through my work; appreciation towards her work, her design. I might only show two pieces out of ten from her organic and sustainable collection, but so far, she speaks the language of fashion and her appreciation to the earth. She has gone far and beyond and contributing such love to the industry.
That little black dress was a comfortable and classy dress a lady could ever have. Sonya offers quality and warmth. And to the one dress I'd call "Gaga Wanna Be" is no ordinary, it'd jumped me to be a popstar, Stacked Dress and Black Boots, I am in!
